The 8th Edition of the ICC T20 World Cup is scheduled to be hosted in Australia. The ICC is divided into groups A and B, with eight teams in each.

For the first time, the ICC Twenty20 World Cup will be hosted by eight countries. Australia, England, India, Pakistan, New Zealand, South Africa, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh directly qualify for the Super 12s stage.

While Sri Lanka and West Indies do not qualify for the Super 12s stage which means they have to compete in the Group Stage along with the six ICC T20 World Cup 2022 Qualifiers which are Ireland, Oman, Netherlands, Scotland, Namibia, and Papua New Guinea.
