Pelicans, CJ McCollum agree to 2-year, $64 million extension: Source
The New Orleans Pelicans and guard CJ McCollum have come to terms on a two-year, $64 million extension, a source confirmed to The Athletic on Saturday. McCollum is now under contract with the Pelicans on a four-year, $133 million deal.
McCollum, 31, helped lead New Orleans to the first round of the playoffs after getting traded to the franchise in February following an eight-year stint with the Portland Trail Blazers. During his time with the Pelicans, McCollum averaged a career highs of 24.3 points, 5.8 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game.
