With UFC 264 far removed, the Octagon gets back to the UFC APEX in Las Vegas for a Fight Night card that should highlight Max Holloway versus Yair Rodriguez in the headliner. Sadly Holloway pulled out because of injury and no substitution was found to confront Rodriguez, so all things being equal we’re going to see lightweight competitors Islam Makhachev and Thiago Moises in the five-round main event spot.
The co-headliner is previous UFC ladies’ bantamweight champion Miesha Tate emerging from a five-year retirement to take on Marion Reneau, for whom retirement is approaching. Tate hasn’t battled since her UFC 205 misfortune to Raquel Pennington however she expects to return as well as make one more run at the title.
